August 2021 marks 100 years since Louth’s War Memorial was unveiled to the public for the first time. In this vlog; the Mayor of Louth, Councillor Darren Hobson, marks this important milestone for the town by participating in a ceremony that blesses the war memorial and honours those named upon it.

Great to officially re-open businesses

17th August 2021 The Mayor of Louth, Councillor Darren Hobson, was delighted to officially (re) open one of the public houses in Louth which has been shut since lockdown in March 2020. The Wheatsheaf on Westgate finally re-opened for business again on Sunday with a new management team.

4th August 2021 The 100th Anniversary of the unveiling of the War Memorial was marked today, the Mayor of Louth, Councillor Darren Hobson and the Secretary of the Louth & District Royal British Legion, Mr. Andy Warne both lay a wreath. The Rev’d James Robinson conducted the service and the blessing of the War Memorial.
