Mayor of Louth 2026/27 – Cllr. Mrs. Karen Parsons

🏛️Louth Welcomes Our New Mayor 2026/27! 🏛️

Following the Annual Town Council meeting held on Tuesday 26th May 2026, we are delighted to officially announce the new Mayor for the upcoming year.

A huge congratulations to Cllr. Mrs. Karen Parsons, who was elected as Mayor of Louth! Cllr. Mrs. K. Parsons is deeply committed to our town and we know she will represent the community with immense dedication, pride and passion. Cllr. Mrs. K. Parsons was born in East Lindsey and has called Louth her home for the last 11 years. Her deep roots mean she truly understands what makes our market town so special. Cllr. Mrs. K. Parsons, who joined Louth Town Council in 2023, has always put community first. The vast majority of her life’s work has been centred around voluntary and community projects, dedicating her time and energy to supporting local residents wherever she can.

Cllr. Mrs. K. Parsons worked for Children’s Links for over 22 years, starting as a training officer to becoming the CEO. Children’s Links is a charity dedicated to changing children’s lives for the better. Their work spans across the East Midlands, East, and South East, delivering services that empower children, families, and communities.
Retirement has not slowed her down one bit! Today, she keeps incredibly busy giving back to Louth by serving as both a Trustee and Treasurer for Louth Lions and volunteering her time with a wide variety of other local groups and organisations.

Supporting Cllr. Mrs. K. Parsons in her new civic duties will be her husband, Mr. James Parsons, who takes on the role of Consort.
