MINUTES OF THE LOUTH TOWN COUNCIL PERSONNEL COMMITTEE
HELD ONLINE USING THE ZOOM PLATFORM
ON TUESDAY 1ST DECEMBER 2020
Present: Councillor Mrs. J. Makinson Sanders (JMS) (in the chair).
Councillors: Mrs. E. Ballard (EB), S Crew (SC), G.E. Horton and D. Wing (DEW).
Councillors not present: None.
The Town Clerk, Mrs. L.M. Phillips and the Town Clerk’s Assistant, Mrs. M. Vincent were also in attendance.
201. Apologies for Absence
202. Declarations of Interest / Dispensations
It was RESOLVED that the notes of the Personnel Committee Meeting held on 8th September 2020 be approved as the Minutes.
204. Annual Review of Staff Disciplinary and Grievance Policy
The Committee reviewed the Staff Disciplinary and Grievance Policy and RESOLVED that following the deletion of the word ‘four’ (under formal grievances section) that they authorised the use of the policy.
205. Closed Session Item
It was RESOLVED to move into Closed Session in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 due to the confidential nature of the business to be discussed in relation to the following matter:
a. Council Volunteer
It was agreed that the Town Clerk should check the Council’s powers to incur expenditure on a small gift of thanks and bring back her findings to a future Personnel Committee meeting for further discussion.
It was RESOLVED to move out of Closed Session.
206. Next Meeting
The Committee noted that the date of the next scheduled Personnel Committee meeting was 16th February 2020.
The Meeting Closed at 8.26pm.
