MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LOUTH TOWN COUNCIL
HELD IN THE OLD COURT ROOM, THE SESSIONS HOUSE, LOUTH

ON TUESDAY 11th OCTOBER 2022

Councillors:       S. Crew (SC), H. Filer (HF), D.J.E. Hall (DJEH), D. Hobson (DH), G. Horton (GEH), M. Lamb (ML), A. Leonard (AL), Mrs. J. Makinson-Sanders (JMS), K. Norman (KN), B. O’Brien (BO),
Mrs. P.F. Watson (PFW) and D.E. Wing (DEW).

 

Councillors not present: Mrs. E. Ballard (EB), M. Bellwood (MB), L. Cooney (LMC), D. Ford (DF), J. Garrett (JG), Mrs. S.E. Locking (SEL) and J. Simmons (JS),

 

The Town Clerk’s Assistant, Mrs. M. Vincent was also present.

  • Apologies for Absence
    Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs. Mrs. EB, LMC, DF, Mrs. SEL and JS.
  • Declarations of Interest / Dispensations
  • Council Minutes
    It was RESOLVED to approve as a correct record, the notes of the Council Meeting held on the 14th June 2022.
  • Committee Minutes

It was RESOLVED to adopt the resolutions contained within the following Committee Meetings:
Planning Committee – 30th August 2022

  • Presentation on the London Road Sports Partnership Trust by Prospective Members
    The Town Clerk’s Assistant reported to Council that Mr. James Lascelles from KEVIGs had sent his apologies that day, late morning. The Town Clerk had contacted the other three interested groups and informed them of this, but request that they still attend. However, the groups had decided that the meeting would not productive without KEVIGs and so had offered their apologies.  It was RESOLVED that the Mayor would write to Mr. Lascelles, expressing the importance of re-arranging the meeting to discuss the London Road Sports Partnership Trust and copying in Louth Hockey Club, Louth Cricket Club and Louth Old Boys Football Club.
  • Civility and Respect Pledge
    The Council received details of the above and RESOLVED to consider to agree to work towards signing up to a pledge, but that they wished each statement to be considered and voted on separately instead of en block.
  • Date of Next Meeting
    It was noted that the date of the Council’s next scheduled meeting was 13th December 2022.

 

The Meeting Closed at 7.55pm.
