Local Government Transparency Code

The Local Government Transparency Code 2015 requires Town and Parish councils which have a gross annual income or expenditure (whichever is higher) exceeding £200,000 to publish certain information to ensure local people can now see and access data covering; how money is spent, use of assets, decision making and issues important to local people.  (This is not enforceable by law for those with a budget below £6.5m, but is regarded as best practice)

In accordance with the code Louth Town Council (LTC) makes the following information available:

Transactions and Expenditure 

Payments are reviewed at least quarterly at Governance and Finance Committee meetings. View Council Approved Monthly Payments.

Government Procurement Card Transactions

LTC does not use Government Procurement Cards.

Procurement Information

Title of agreement –  Hubbard’s Hills Grass Cutting.

Reference number – T72a.

Local authority department responsible – Louth Town Council (Hubbard’s Hills).

Description of services being provided – Weekly cuts and strimming around obstacles from mid March to mid October (no collection) = 30 cuts. All pathways to be cleared on completion. Periodic strimming of path edges. Boundary strimming x 4 times per year.

Supplier name and details – Glendale Countryside (medium sized enterprise).

Sum to be paid – £6,698 + VAT.

Start date – 1st September 2025.

End date – 31st August 2026.

This contract the result of an invitation to quote.  VAT not recoverable.

 

Title of agreement – Hubbard’s Hills Refuse Collection.

Reference number – T72a

Local authority department responsible – Louth Town Council (Hubbard’s Hills)

Description of services being provided – To empty bins and collect litter as per schedule (90 times between 1st September and 31st August), also allowing for extra collections during busy times. Supply all bin liners, litter picking from Old Mill House to Half Penny Lane bi-monthly, rubbish to be emptied into Council’s skip.

Supplier name and details – Glendale Countryside (medium sized enterprise).

Sum to be paid – £10,897 + VAT

Start date – 31st September 2025

End date – 31st August 2026
