At the Annual Meeting of Louth Town Council on 14th May 2019, Councillor Fran Treanor was elected as the new Mayor of Louth for 2019/20 and Councillor Dave Wing was elected as the Deputy Mayor.

This was the first meeting of the newly elected Town Council, with six new Councillors joining the 14 Councillors who have returned. Now with 20 Councillors on the Council, there is one place left which will be filled by co-option. The closing date for interest to join as a co-opted Councillor is 25th June 2019.
