PRIORY WARD

John Dean joined the Council in 1986.  He has previously been Mayor in 1993 and 2000.  He is a representative of the Priory Ward and is also the Chairman of the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Council.

Trevor Marris was elected onto the Council in May 1999.  He was Mayor in 2003 and in 2004, during his Mayoral Year, he  launched the Louth Hospital Scanner Appeal and is still the Chairman of the Appeal.  He owns and runs a local carpet shop.  He is a past President of Louth Chamber of Business and held that position for 13 years.  Trevor has worked hard to keep Louth Town Shopping Centre a special place to shop and visit.

Margaret Ottaway MBE became a Councillor in 1988.  Her father was Mayor of Louth in 1949 and she followed the tradition by becoming Mayor herself in 1995.  She believes the community spirit is still alive and she feels extremely lucky to have been born here.  She is a member of the Louth Girls Grammar School Association, now the Old Ludensian Club and she is very active locally in support of several organisations serving the community.  Margaret was awarded an MBE on 20th November 2007 for services to the community.
