SHAPING
HEALTH AT LOUTH COUNTY HOSPITAL
Louth Town Council are pleased to announce their full support for the
East Lindsey Practice Based Commissioning Group (ELPBC). At a meeting of
the Louth Town Council Planning and Environment Committee held on 24th June 2008
the Committee unanimously voted to support the ELPBC's proposal to create an
integrated, primary care led hospital. They also agreed strongly with the
ELPBC's proposal to create excellent access to primary care 24 hours a day,
seven days a week by commissioning a new Primary Care Access Centre to be based
at Louth County Hospital giving people another choice of a place to go to see a
GP or nurse both in emergencies and routinely during the day, evening and at
weekends. The consultation period has now closed. We await the results.
