REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
 Sunday
13th November 2010 saw the Royal British Legion commemorate those who have died
in Wars and Conflicts past and present at Louth's annual Remembrance Sunday event. A
Wreath Laying service took place at Louth War Memorial from 10.30am
and the Mayor, Councillor Brian Burnett laid a Wreath on behalf of Louth Town Council.
The Venerable Jane Sinclair, Archdeacon of Stow and Lindsey gave a short sermon at the War Memorial and Councillor Gus Robertson, the President of the Royal British Legion Louth Branch
said the Eulogy. Adam Barter played the bugle to begin and end a two minute
silence which provided a unique opportunity for us to reflect on lives lost
during all the Wars in which this country has fought.
Those assembled then paraded to St. James’ Church for Divine Service
led by
the Venerable Jane Sinclair, Archdeacon of Stow and Lindsey. Public support was magnificent. Louth Town Council would like to thank the British Legion Louth Branch, the Team
Parish of Louth, the drummers, the bugler, all those
parading uniformed services and all the youngsters who were in attendance as
their participation made the event the reverent and honorable occasion that the
brave servicemen and women who gave their lives for this Country deserve.

THEM
