LOUTH'S NO. 41 BUS SERVICE
Stagecoach East Midlands have
announced that plans to withdraw Service 41 - Louth Town Service have been
shelved.
Following fruitful and lengthy
discussions with East Lindsey District Council who act on behalf of the other
districts involved in the Lincolnshire Countywide Concessionary scheme they have
secured an increased reimbursement rate, which will go some way towards covering
the losses on their marginal rural bus services.
PROPOSED TERMINATION OF
LOUTH'S NO. 41 BUS SERVICE
Louth Town Council are also strongly against the termination of Louth's No.
41 bus service and are again currently doing all they can to ensure that this
valuable service is not lost. If you would like to join the fight please
write letters of objection to
ELDC,
LCC, Stagecoach, Sir Peter Tapsell MP and the Department of Transport outlining
your objections and pointing out the social consequences of terminating the No.
41 bus service.
