FREE TREES FOR
PARISHES SCHEME 2008
Louth Town
Council has once again been invited to apply to receive
25 small trees
(60-90cm) with the option of tubes as protection or 250 hedge plants (30-60cm)
in multiples of 25 with the option of spirals as protection or 5 large trees
(1.75 – 2m) with the option of a stake, tree tie and strimmer guard or a pro
rata mix of the above where 1 small tree = 10 hedge plants, 1 large tree = 50
hedge plants. At
a meeting of the Louth Town Council Planning and Environment Committee held on
24th June 2008
Councillors agreed to
promote the above scheme with local groups and ask that any organisations
interested in receiving free trees etc., contact the Town Clerk with their
application. The Town Clerk will then collate responses and present the
cases to the Town Council for them to decide who will benefit, before the
closing date for applications of 30th September 2008. Please note
that full details of the above scheme are available to view in the Town Clerk's
office or by clicking on the link below.
